Service currently provided at our facility is shown below.
With our technology and know-hows retained within KOWA group, we are always capable of placing an addition to the service from Japan’s 13 factories and over in Asia.

Electroless Ni-P Plating

Electroless nickel-phosphorus plating is a plating method that uses a reducing agent instead of electricity to form a thin coat of nickel on a product through the chemical processes of reduction and deposition. In addition to good compatibility with a wide range of metals, the method allows plating on an object of any shape.

Features of Electroless Nickel-Phosphorus Plating

  1. Uniform plating thickness associated with good throwing power
Good throwing power means that uniform plating thickness can be achieved regardless of the shape of the base material.
In addition, plating thickness can be specified, and precision is good. (See figure to the right.)
  2. The plating shows good adhesion
The plating with this method sticks better to the plated object than with electroplating. It is also more resistant to mechanical stress. For example, it will not form cracks if you bend it.
  3. The plating is hard and resists wear and abrasion
A post-plating bake can make the hardness level up to HV550–650.
  4. A beautiful appearance
Compared to hot-dip plating, you get more of a smooth and shiny surface.
